Despite the imposition of section 144 following yesterday’s clashes, a religious outfit held rally in Faisalabad on Sunday.

It is important to note that open display of weapons is banned under the section 144. However, the participants of the rally were openly showing the weapons.

Earlier, Commissioner Faisalabad Tahir Hussain called on an emergency meeting of ulema and traders after yesterday’s firing and blazing incidents. The ulema and business community demanded the administration to register a case against the culprits.

The administration registered three cases in this regard, while imposing section 144 to maintain law and order situation in the city.

Despite the fact that to hold rally and exhibit weapons is banned, a religious party completely ignored the law and carried out a rally.
