For those who like the genuine Italian taste for their pizza and lasagne, here is some good news. The Italian embassy — which has always been active in promoting and supporting good causes — is holding a fundraising event tomorrow (Sunday) and will be serving these two specialties, which you can either eat on the spot or take home and enjoy when you feel like it.
The event will start at 11 a.m. and continue till 5 p.m. — that will let you take pleasure on your day off by sleeping late as well as getting to the venue in time for a tasty lunch! The fundraiser is for a very worthwhile cause and needs your support.
The good work is being done by the Mary Medical Centre in Khuspur, which has been set up and built with the help of the local community — consisting of both Christian and Muslims residents who live in interfaith harmony — near Faisalabad.
Inaugurated just nine months ago, it has already catered to the needs of 1,500 patients — men, women and children — from Khuspur as well as other nearby villages. This centre has been a boon for the residents because previously they had to carry patients to Faisalabad even for minor ailments.
