Islamabad A in dominant position

At the end of the second round in the three-round 4th Aquafina Royal Palm Golf Team Championship now in progress at the captivating par-72, Royal Palm Golf Course, playing members of the Islamabad golf team produced a feast of golf to retain the top position on the leader board of this national event. Of the other participating teams, Multan improved it’s standing to appear in the second rung of the ladder with a score of 468, 17 strokes behind the leading team. Occupying the third and the fourth slots are Gymkhana A at 469 and Gymkhana B at 472.
During the second round the other day, Hamza Amin obliged with a repeat of his excellence on the first day. Once again Hamza produced a superb round and played with the composure and assurance of his elders who are very much a part of this championship.
Hamza’s teammates include his father Taimur Hassan who returned a round of 79 and Mehmood Aziz also 79.
A notable feature of this championship has been the fine form reflected by quite a few of the participants. Normally in such championships, although every participant considers himself a contender, barely a few manage to apply their golfing skills well enough to achieve glory and an admirable position on the leader board. In this championship, however, we see a lot of names who have done well.
