Tour de Pakistan 6th leg begins from Multan


The sixth phase of 15th Tour de Pakistan kicked off Sunday from Multan to Bahawalpur, Geo News reported Sunday.

Afghan cyclist Imtiaz Hasan won the fifth stage from Sahiwal to Multan by crossing the distance in four hours, 28 minutes and 37seconds.

The fifth leg of Tour de Pakistan was 154 kilometers. The present leg consists of 90 kilometers to Bahawalpur.

Wapda’s Zahid Gulfam, who has overall performed well, followed the Afghan winner.

Earlier, it was Imtiaz who won the fourth stage from Lahore to Sahiwal in four hours, 12 minutes and 56 seconds. At least 47 cyclists participated in race from Bagh-e-Jinnah and traversed 160 kilometers to Sahiwal.

Sui Southern’s Asif Junior was runner up followed by Wapda’s Owais Aslam at third position.

The cyclists will run totally 1685 kilometers to the finishing line at Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi on March 13.
