Lumb ton sets up Lions victory

The England Lions recorded a three-wicket win over Pakistan A as Michael Lumb's 110 lifted them to their target with an over to spare.

Pakistan made 231 for eight batting first, and were looking to be in a dominant position as England slipped to 56 for three in the early going.

But James Taylor (61) and Lumb combined to turn the game around.

There was still time for a wobble as Lumb, Steven Davies and Chris Woakes were all dismissed in the final over with only two runs needed, but David Wainwright finished the job with the help of a leg bye as England reached 232 for seven.

Pakistan had been put in to bat in the morning after losing the toss, and struggled to get going on a slow pitch in Dubai, with Umair Khan top-scoring with 61 before he was stumped.

Steven Finn took two wickets for 30, while Sajid Mahmood also removed two at a cost of 46.
